Where Do You See Yourself In 10 Years?

Following a career path is a funny thing. There are many people who have gone to college for 4 years and have never held a job that matches the degree on their wall. Some people spend half a lifetime doing one job then switch to something entirely different. One week you can be selling cars, and the next week you’re selling electronics.

Following a career path is a funny thing. There are many people who have gone to college for 4 years and have never held a job that matches the degree on their wall. Some people spend half a lifetime doing one job then switch to something entirely different. One week you can be selling cars, and the next week you’re selling electronics. And, do you know what is even more bizarre? More often than not, a career will choose us. It doesn’t matter that you know everything there is to know about planting flowers if there are no florist jobs available. So you take what is available and say that you’ll get something better, only to find you are still working that same job 10 years later.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? If you’re like most, you don’t have a concrete plan or a specific career in mind. You just have an idea of the kind of job you want. You probably want benefits like medical, dental, and a 401k. You’d probably prefer a job that you know you can do well, but that doesn’t require more from you than you are able to give. You’d like the job to be something you can be proud of, right? No one wants to wonder if they are going to run into an unsatisfied customer when they do a quick run to the grocery store. Well, we’d like to tell you about a company that may be just what you’re looking for. But, rather than tell you how awesome Window Nation is to work for, we’ll give you these quotes from our employees.

“I decided to go to work for Window Nation because they were a reputable company. They’re worried about quality rather than quantity.”

“We’re, in terms of business volume, a huge company. We’ll do somewhere in the ballpark of 30 million dollars this year. I like that it’s still a family run business…but it’s also doing the kind of business volume that huge corporations do.”

“The reason I like working here is you know who you’re working for. You see these guys day in and day out, we have meetings with these people. It’s not just some large corporation where you’re a number. These guys have integrity. The company really does good work. We do a quality product. We do it at a fair price.”

“I make great money and I’m working around a bunch of good people. I can tell you that. That makes the difference.”

“Jump on board.” “Don’t second-guess yourself.” “Just come on board and meet the whole family–cause this is a family here–and I’m quite sure at the end of the day you’ll be happy with the decision you made.”

“Never thought I’d be selling windows, but I fell in love with what they do. The honesty, the integrity that they have.”

“Everyone takes care of each other; they stand behind their word.”

“I didn’t have any experience in home improvement…”

“They give you the opportunity and the tools to succeed.”

“Customers that we install, I see on a daily basis, and never have to worry about running and hiding from seeing the people that we did work for.”

“This is a growing company.” “They are very well organized.”

“I love working here.”

So, where do you see yourself in 10 years? If what matters most to you are integrity, quality, honesty, a family atmosphere, hard work, professionalism, and being part of a growing company, we hope you’ll see yourself here at Window Nation.
