At Window Nation, there’s nothing more important to us than giving back to the communities we serve. We’re fortunate to have offices in towns across the country, from our first showroom in Baltimore to our newest showroom in Kansas City. When COVID-19 first impacted our country, life as we knew it at Window Nation was turned upside down. Our priority was – and always will be – to protect our customers and employees. We adapted our business practices to meet the needs of our customers, offering virtual appointments instead of face-to-face in-home estimates. Installations were delayed and measurements were put on-hold until we could safely operate in the states that we serve.
When businesses across the country shut down due to local or state regulations, we were fortunate to be deemed an essential business, allowing our team to keep working to give our customers the windows, doors, and siding they need. Our customers supported us in our time of need, and we knew we had to find a way to pay it forward. Under the guidance of our executive team, we discounted windows for our customers and deferred payments for up to two years to help reduce the financial burden on our customers. We even offered a special discount for first responders fighting the pandemic on the frontlines.
However, we wanted to do more.
Our frontline workers made significant sacrifices to keep us safe and healthy during these difficult times. Our co-founders Harley and Aaron Magden didn’t just want to offer discounts or donate money – they wanted to do something to show their support for these brave employees. We chose to partner with a local restaurant, River Hill Grill, to donate over 300 meals to frontline workers at Howard County General Hospital near our corporate office in Maryland. Members of our team helped package and deliver meals to the hospital throughout the month of May and June.
Our team is continuing to support the communities we serve throughout the summer. In June, our team will celebrate Pride Month, recognizing our employees who identify as LGBTQ+. Window Nation has also supported the Black Lives Matter movement, participating in a week-long social media blackout and donating money to organizations in support of ending racism and hatred in our country.
