The Brooklyn O’Malley Club is one of the clubs run by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore. They operate after-school and summer programs for local children from elementary through high school age. Brooklyn O’Malley Club underwent a physical makeover thanks to the WMAR program “Built Upon a Dream provides a great opportunity to use our unique position as a broadcaster to connect organizations in need and local businesses that can offer solutions,” said Bill Hooper, vice president and general manager for WMAR. “For our entire team, from news to sales to production, it is a team effort and a labor of love.”  This Built Upon a Dream project, benefitting The Brooklyn O’Malley Club, included improvements throughout the building. Workers improved everything from flooring, painting, electrical, furniture, windows, fencing and landscaping at the club. The work was completed by a group of contractors, suppliers and associated companies who make up the Built Upon a Dream team.
