Window Nation Teams Up With Habitat For Humanity
On Wednesday, Aug. 8, Window Nation teamed up with Habitat For Humanity of Lorton, VA to help renovate a home for a very deserving family. The event is part of the company’s Window Nation Cares program and launches a new partnership with the nonprofit organization that builds and improves homes for local families. “Any time we can give back to the community, we jump on the opportunity as quickly as we can” says co-owner and CEO Harley Magden. “We’re not just stopping in Lorton, in the next couple months we’ll be working closely with Habitat For in Ohio, Maryland, DC, and Pennsylvania.”
As part of the renovation, Window Nation will be providing windows as well as the installation. Additionally, Window Nation will be donating a portion of each sale to the nonprofit from August through November. “We are very fortunate that our business is doing well, which means we not only take care of our employees, but also those in need within the communities we have a presence. Habitat is simply an amazing organization with a stellar reputation. Helping them build out homes is something we can all truly feel good about. Everyone should feel the joy and pride that comes with a place you call your own.”

On the University of Maryland’s Baltimore campus, the School of Medicine serves as the anchor for a large academic health center which aims to provide the best medical education, conduct the most innovative biomedical research and provide the best patient care and community service to Maryland and beyond. Coats for Kids
In 1981, local radio station employees became aware of a large number of children missing school in the winter because they did not have warm coats. That November, Coats for Kids – Cleveland was founded when the radio station began soliciting donations of new or like-new winter coats. That first campaign filled the studio, and subsequent campaigns brought in even more coats, along with monetary donations used to purchase new coats.
Since then, millions of dollars have been raised and hundreds of thousands of new and like-new coats have been distributed to children in need in northeast Ohio.
Window Nation’s Efforts: Owners Harley and Aaron Magden, of Window Nation, have been avid supporters of Coats for Kids since 2013. The company contributed nearly $5,000 to the CFK organization just in return for customers mentioning Mike Trivisonno when they visited one of the northeast Ohio showrooms.
This year, Window Nation was honored with the opportunity to feature as the presenting sponsor of Triv’s Vegas Show at the Hilton Garden Inn on November 20 and 21. In addition, Window Nation was also able to donate $10,000 to help defray expenses associated with the Vegas Show.
This campaign season, the Window Nation showrooms in Warrensville Heights and on Grayton Road in Cleveland are also collecting coats! So if you get the chance, please feel free to stop by one of our locations to contribute your own donations!
