4th of July in Philadelphia!

At Window Nation we love our country and we love our home state. That is why the 4th of July is a big deal. If you’ve never experienced the 4th of July in the city of Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, you’re missing out. We do it big! Here are some quick highlights of what you can expect to see as Independence Day arrives.

At Window Nation we love our country and we love our home state. That is why the 4th of July is a big deal. If you’ve never experienced the 4th of July in the city of Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, you’re missing out. We do it big! Here are some quick highlights of what you can expect to see as Independence Day arrives.

July 1st

Between 10AM and 5PM, take advantage of FREE admission to the African American Museum of Philadelphia. Experience the richness and vibrancy of African American heritage and culture as you celebrate the heritage of our great nation.

While you’re out and about stop by the Smith Memorial Playground and Play House for a morning of fun and fitness. They have over 50 pieces of play equipment and 6.5 acres of playground. And, in celebration of the 4th, the first 800 kids who arrive will receive a free book, courtesy of Duffy Books in Homes USA.

Grab a seat on the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and watch Philadelphia’s hometown hero Rocky on the big screen, starting at 9PM.

July 2nd

Make sure to take advantage of the FREE admission to the National Constitution Center between 9:30AM and 8PM. Explore hundreds of interactive exhibits and the inspirational Freedom Rising.

Take a break for lunch and get a FREE Wawa hoagie at Independence Mall between noon and 1:30PM.

At 8PM the Philadelphia Orchestra will have a neighborhood concert and fireworks on the River Stage at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. Following the orchestral show there will be a fireworks display on the Delaware River Waterfront.

July 3rd

This day will have you seeing the 1776 Experience Revolutionary War Encampment (10AM to 5PM at the National Constitution Center), stopping by the Liberty Block Party (1PM to 8:30PM at 5th and 6th Streets), watching the Signer’s Day Celebration (11AM to 3PM at Christ Church), and ending the day at the Philly Pops! patriotic concert in front of Independence Hall at 8PM.

July 4th!!!

Enjoy the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony on the steps of Independence Hall between 10AM and 11AM. Watch the Independence Day Parade throughout Historic Philadelphia from 11AM to 1PM. Be a part of Party on the Parkway from noon to 7PM on Benjamin Franklin Parkway. And, top it all off with the Philly 4th of July Jam and Grand Finale Fireworks.
